People who have not followed this case, or perhaps reading this case many years later, might think that little Veronica has learning disabilities, when in fact, she is a very bright child, then one might think she has physical handicaps of some kind, and this child is a very healthy, full functioning child. In fact, there is nothing at all wrong with this child, except for the very thing the Capobianco's hate about her, that is the fact that Veronica is a Native American.. and it is due to the Native blood in Veronica that allowed them to get their case pushed through court, and put the horrible title on this child that she is "special needs"
If you consider that Dusten Brown fought in court for his daughter from the second he learned her biological mother, Christinna (sometimes spelled Christina), and known as Christy Maldonado, sold her to the Capobianco's for over ten thousand dollars, then he gained custody of Veronica when she was two years old, only to have her stolen by the Capobianco's when she was four years old.
There is no doubt in over thirteen thousand people who support Dusten to have the right to raise his daughter in HER loving family, and within her culture and for this, Veronica is being punished by being labeled "special needs".
Who does that to a normal, healthy child of which they claim they love? Well, Matt Capobianco and Melanie Duncan Capobiano does! And what makes it worse is the fact that Melanie Duncan Capobianco is in the profession of child psychology, which leaves little doubt to anyone that Veronica has become Melanie's guinea pig to brain wash her and make her believe that she is "her" child. Matt nor Melanie want Veronica to remember her family in Oklahoma. They do not want her to know her daddy loves her, and has always wanted her.
I guess that is why there are so many blogs out there, because thousands of us want Veronica to remember, Veronica should never forget what these vile people have done to her, and her real family.
Capobianco's friends say they are good people, but I disagree, because a good person would not have been so selfish as to fight a biological father for his child, a good person would not label a child as "special needs" when in fact, they are not a special needs person.
I believe, Capobianco's have always wanted nothing more from Veronica than what money she will earn them, for there are special tax credits for people who adopt, and those tax credits jump up real high when people adopt "special needs" children, and the only thing that could get them to label Veronica as "special needs" is the fact she is Native American.
They want Veronica to hate the very blood that runs through her veins. Thankfully, this child has experienced her culture, she has stomp danced, she has shaken the shells, she has danced in a pow wow, she knows the drum, the drum is in her soul, it is part of calling a Indian home when they are lost... and the Capobianco's will learn, Veronica will return home to her family and her people, she will be welcomed and we will dance!

Veronica was so proud of the dance shall her Grandma Brown made for her! She is such a beautiful Indian girl! Each fringe is hand tied onto the shall, don't ever forget Veronica, your grandma and grandpa Brown love you so very, very much!
Every day, so many people are sending prayers to Veronica, we pray that those kidnappers do not try to make you ashamed of being Indian, we pray they do not tell you lies that you are "only 1%" or tell you that you are not "enough" Indian, worse, that they will tell you the Cherokee people will "reject" you, because none of that is true... In the Indian world, there is no percentage, either you are, or you are not Indian, and dear Veronica, you are very much Indian!

I know you try to get the photos removed from all online sources that display Veronica with her real family, photos of her with her father, or photos of her enjoying life during the two years she enjoyed with her daddy, I am sure you want to remove all images so you can lie to her... On your Fake Indian page you have the story of Charlie Two Hats Banta. Charlie used the Indian adoption laws to steal his nieces child.
ReplyDeleteAs he told me directly he got a call from the hospital because he was tribal "chief". His niece was supposedly doing drugs and the nurse handed him a baby that was hers and told him to take it home...because he was chief.
So he did. Then Charlie and LeAnn decided to keep the child and as per him got the adoption fast tracked in Brown County Indiana because they were Indians. His niece is white...well so is he..but supposedly his niece was adopted by his brother and denounced their Indian ways...sounds like she might be the honest one in the family. And claims to be white. The father of the child they call Dude is also white. So Charlie and his wife used Indian child adoption laws to fast track an adoption of a white child they knew to be white and think that is just dandy.
In addition to his Marshall service Chief Two Hats works for Homeland Security at Camp Atterbury. He claims to be the only Indian at Camp Atterbury and possibly used that Indian status as a minority to obtain that job. At least he bragged about it to me personally. And, yes he wears some sort of badge on his hip. Has reservation signs on his 2.5 acres res.
Why do I know this? Because Charlie is also a cattle thief. He stole several thousand dollars worth of cattle and feed from me. I have the receipts and emails from him admitting it.
I pray you get Veronica back. Stealing a child is the lowest of lows.
Your comments are very interesting and welcomed. As just a while ago, a friend contacted me, it seems Charlie Banta's daughter has found the comments on the blog of Stolen Children. She said her name is Naomi, and gave details of Banta not taking one child, but two children using ICWA. It was explained to her he could not use ICWA because he is not a federally recognized tribe, to which, Naomi then stated they were a "treaty tribe", there is no such thing as a treaty tribe. She then stated to my friend they were "got federal recognition recently" this too is a lie. Does this family ever tell the truth?
DeleteIt is obvious, this family has abused a federal law, and actions are taking place to let the courts know that they are NOT Indian, and they feloniously used a federal law to achieve a goal to kidnap children. As I understand it, Naomi Banta claimed both children were abused, and that is why they were removed from the mother. I do not know if this is true or not, but I do know they had no right to use the ICWA law. I do not wish to see any child abused or neglected, but when removing children from their parent(s) it must be done in a legal and ethical way, not by deception which is what the Banta's would have done if in fact, they used ICWA.

DeleteI can give you some names of people that are also aware of them but you might already know them. They are BIA and Shawnee and one is in the military as Charlie got that Search and Rescue job at Camp Atterbury/Homeland Security Indiana by claiming to be Indian in what I was told a violation of federal law. The BIA said you have to be recognized by the federal government (in real life, not your vivid imagination) to claim that preference in hiring. It is also supposed to be a felony and the statue of limitations clock starts the last day you are on the job.
The guy I talked to said he could send a dozen real Indian combat vets up to Camp Atterbury to interview for that job.
The other child is a girl...same birth parents I was told and Naomi's sister adopted her. Last summer before they stole my cattle I was sitting in their kitchen while Naomi was bragging about cyber stalking the bio-mom and how they would have liked to have invoked the ICWA to get the third baby but the birth mom outsmarted them and placed the baby with someone of her choice. I have only met Isaac. He is blond and blue-eyed and cleary white. Charlie Phony Hats bragged about the story where the judge read out all their Indiana names at the adoption hearing. Did they legally change their names? I have seen several references to his legal name being Charles Daniel Banta. If he adopted using the Two Hats moniker added in and it is not his legal name wouldn't that be a fraud of the court as well?
Veronica Brown is NOT a special needs child. She may be when the Capokidnappers are done traumatizing her, but she wasn't "special needs" when she left the arms of her father.

ReplyDeleteYou mention that the worst thing a child could ever have is the label of "special needs". Doesn't everyone have special needs of some kind? It is a label which shouldn't exist.
However, Veronica, just like every "adopted" child does have special needs, simply by the act of changing her identity and asking her to live a lie her entire life by pretending she is not who she were born as.
That does not give any adoptive "parent" the right to label their child, however. It is the adoption system that creates the "special needs" adoptee that brings even more money into the child trafficking equation.
Your love will matter to her when she is older. I am so sorry to read this story - seeing Veronica at the Powwow made us cry. We have mixed-blood children who have been taken by their non-Native grandmother. It's heartbreaking. Boys need their fathers. Brown-skinned boys need their browner-skinned father even more. We send our prayers for you and your family, and restoration of your beloved daughter.
